GIVING 2 BACS

Dear Parents:

We greatly appreciate your assistance in making these trips possible for the children. We always get good reports on the conduct of the students. Thanks for helping us make the best possible representation for our school and for the Lord.

We hope you enjoy the time with the children!

Sincerely,
Mr. Cullins

BEFORE THE TRIP

1. Get directions and/or map from the teacher.
2. The teacher will assign riders to your automobile.
3. Make certain that you know in which automobile the teacher will ride.
4. Since you are a role model for the children, we request that you wear slacks, split skirts, etc., but not shorts unless the students are allowed to wear them.
5. Keep the school numbers available in case of emergency: 281-332-4814 or 281-554-6132

DURING THE DRIVE

1. Remain in the caravan as much as possible with the other automobiles. Do not use an alternate route that might cause some to get lost or separated.
2. Do not stop at a fast food restaurant, place of business, etc. during the trip.
3. The teacher will have the medical release emergency forms at all times. If an accident should occur, notify the teacher and/or the school office so that parents can be contacted.
4. Please have only Christian tapes and radio stations played while on the field trips so as not to offend anyone.
5. *It is now against state law (SB 1257) to use any wireless device while operating a passenger bus with a minor passenger on the bus. Even though our parents driving on field trips are not driving busses, we prefer that drivers should refrain from using cell phones or other wireless communications devices. If it is necessary to talk on the phone while driving, another person can talk on the phone or the driver should pull off the road safely and stop to talk.

DURING THE FIELD TRIP

1. The teacher will assign students to each chaperone.
2. Be considerate of the rules/guidelines for conduct at the different locations.
3. The teacher should be notified when a student misbehaves.
4. Remember, the teachers have planned each trip and are responsible for all the children. Please cooperate with their leadership.
