BACS Clinic

The clinic at Bay Area Christian School is a very busy place! We are located in the Cullins building next to the main office. It is our joy to oversee the health of all our broncos, from kindergarten through high school. We also provide health care services to the ELA children and BACS staff, as well as any visitors on our campus requiring medical care.

The nursing staff consists of two registered nurses (RNs). Brianna Arghiropol and Darcy Gonzalez make up the full time, active nursing staff keeping the clinic covered during school hours. Brianna Arghiropol maintains vaccination records and performs all Texas state-required screenings of students including hearing, vision, scoliosis, and acanthosis nigricans. Together, we help support students physically, mentally, emotionally as well as helping with the social health of students while encouraging success in the learning process. We function in accordance with the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners to provide quality health care services in the safest manner.

Healthy children are successful learners. Keeping our broncos healthy and strong is our top priority! Some healthy tips and reminders:

  • Encourage a good night’s sleep.
  • Provide a healthy protein breakfast which will alleviate most headaches and stomachaches.
  • Students must be fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications such as Tylenol or Ibuprofen before returning to school.
  • In regards to vomiting and diarrhea, students should be symptom free for 24 hours before returning to school.
