Providing quality Christian education impacting lives for now and eternity...

Bay Area Christian School is a Class 3A School and is a member of TAPPS (Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools), the largest private association in the state.  BACS has developed an athletic program that competes successfully in the private and public sectors across the state of Texas.

The school started in 1973 as First Baptist Christian School of League City.  It grew to 230 students by 1978.  The name was changed to Bay Area Christian School in 1985.  Enrollment has continued to grow to over 700 students in 2009.  The strong demand has produced waiting lists for enrollment since 1992.  A new gymnasium and field house were completed in 1995 to enhance the athletic and P.E. programs.  A new Elementary building was completed in 2005.   The high school building was  completed in 2011.

Bay Area Christian serves the suburban south Houston area including students who come from League City, Clear Lake, South Houston, Friendswood, Dickinson, Alvin, and other nearby communities.  The school is expected to continue to have controlled quality growth in the future.

The school is owned and operated as a ministry of Bay Area First Baptist Church.
