Students from Bay Area Christian School earn Top
Ratings at State Music Competition
League City - TAPPS’ (Texas Association of
Private and Parochial Schools) State Music Meet
in Austin on April 16 -17 awarded seven top
ratings to high school students from Bay Area
Christian School who competed in instrumental
and vocal ensembles. Receiving a rating of “1”
in the Pop/Show Ensemble category were the Bay
Area Christian girls with their vocal renditions
of “Singing in the Rain” and “Get Happy”. The
boys garnered a “1” in the category of Sacred
Ensemble. Five individuals also received top
honors for their performances in Solo Piano,
Solo String – String Bass, and Solo Vocal –
Male. All the students who received recognition
for their vocal performance are members of Bay
Area Christian’s high school ensemble, Sound
Principle, which is under the direction of Ellen
Cullins, with the assistance of Treva Gregory.
