Junior High Administrative Assistant
Bay Area Christian School has an immediate opening for a full-time Administrative Assistant in our Junior High (JH) division. The JH Administrative Assistant provides assistance to the JH Principal and faculty in day-to-day operations of the JH division of Bay Area Christian School in order to support the mission of the school. The hours for this position are Mon – Fri 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. The school work period for the remainder of 2021 will be Jan 15th – May 28th. 6th-Grade Math Teacher
Bay Area Christian School has an opening for a 6th-Grade Math Teacher for the 2021-22 school year. Qualified applicants will confess Christ as Savior with expressions of their faith aligned with our Doctrines and Beliefs Statement. They will be equipped to challenge their students and will possess the conceptual understanding of Pre-Algebraic objectives. In addition, candidates should excel at explaining, assessing, and motivating students to learn these objectives so that they may build on them as they advance in the rigors and ranks of the Math program at BACS.
The position of 6th-Grade Math Teacher works as a functional part of the 6th-grade team and also works in collaboration with the Math Department from K-12. As the 6th grade is the apex of our Elementary division, students matriculating into Junior High should be prepared for Math 7 or Pre-Algebra (honors).

Extended Care Aide (PT)
Our BACS Extended Care currently has a part-time opening for an afternoon Extended Care aide. Hours would be Mon – Fri from 2:45 PM to 5:15 PM. (Approx 12.5 hours per week.) Pay is $10.00 per hour. Bay Area Christian School is seeking a qualified and experienced Director for its preschool program, The Early Learning Academy at Bay Area Christian School. The Director oversees the entire preschool program by seeking to instill biblical principles and promote academic growth in preschool students ages two to five.
The ELA is both a part-time and full-time preschool for families in the surrounding areas of League City, Friendswood, Webster, Dickinson, Pearland, Santa Fe, and beyond. Typical enrollment ranges from 60-100 part-time students and 35-50 full-time students within a 12 classroom, 15,000 square foot facility. The ELA Director works in collaboration with the Senior Administrative Team of Bay Area Christian School and under the supervision of the Head of School as BACS operates as a ministry of Bay Area Church.
Qualified applicants are expected to have a minimum of an undergraduate degree pertaining to child development OR commensurate applicable experience. Administrative experience in a relative setting of five years or more is preferred. Qualified applicants must have a strong working knowledge of Minimum Standards for Child Care Centers and will attain a minimum of 30 hours of training annually in the domains outlined in the Licensing Standards for Child Care Centers. Since the ELA is an integral part of the school and church, the ideal applicant should be (or be willing to become) an active, contributing member of Bay Area Church.
