February 19 Head of School Weekly Update

by Les Rainey on February 19, 2026

Dear BACS Families,

This quarter is moving quickly, and in just two weeks, we’ll be at Spring Break! The past couple of weeks in the life of our school have been pretty incredible. Take a look at these highlights:

  • On January 31, the Bay Area Education Foundation raised $385,000 at the Gala!
  • Last Friday, we hosted the TABS Conference, welcoming more than 250 Christian educators to our campus for a day of professional development.
  • On Saturday, for the first time in BACS history, we hosted the TAPPS State Wrestling Championships in our Athletic Center, featuring more than 20 schools from across the state. Our team finished as State Runner-Up, and Carter Murphy was a state champion in the 215 lb. division!
  • Also last week, our swim team traveled to San Antonio for the TAPPS State Championships, where our girls’ team finished third in the state—the best finish in school history for the girls!
  • This week, more than 100 ninth- and tenth-grade students traveled to Camp Cho-Yeh for their annual retreat. While there is certainly fun to be had, the focus of these trips is spiritual growth—disconnecting from busy, maxed-out schedules to draw closer to the Lord. What a blessing for our students. A special thank you to our teachers for their flexibility in making this happen.
  • Congratulations to the BETA Club for a wonderful representation at the State Convention this past weekend! Sara Stanley took home 1st place in Painting, Division II. Kaelyn Uffort earned 1st place in Solo Vocal Performance. She is proceeding to theNational competition this summer in Nashville. Hayden Sexton was also awarded a $1,000 Scholarship!

None of this would be possible without God’s blessing and the faithful support of our community. I am so thankful for our teachers, leaders, directors, and operations team, and for the countless hours of preparation that go into making these events successful.

It’s a great day to be a Bronco!
