January 15 Head of School Weekly Update

by Les Rainey on January 15, 2026

Dear BACS Family,

On several occasions, I’ve had the privilege of traveling to Washington, D.C. with our 8th-grade students. One of the most powerful moments each time is visiting the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial. One of Dr. King’s well-known quotes reads, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that.” As believers, we know that the true Light is Jesus. The love we extend to others is only possible because He first loved us.

There is no better training ground for that kind of love than the home, the church, and a Christ-centered education—places where hearts and minds are shaped for the next generation. I am deeply grateful that at BACS, everything we do is anchored in God’s Word. What a blessing we share.

There is also some exciting news from our High School this week. Please join me in congratulating senior Noah Ammons on his acceptance to the United States Air Force Academy. This is a tremendous honor, and we are incredibly proud of Noah and his achievement.

Additionally, I’m excited to share that our High School was recently recognized by the College Board as an AP School Honor Roll recipient. This distinction is based on both the number of AP exams taken by our students and their overall performance on those exams. We are thankful for the dedication of our students and teachers that made this recognition possible.

Finally, please be in prayer for many of our 6th–12th grade students who will be participating in Collide this weekend on our campus. Over 700 students from 13 different church campuses will be joining us. Pray that their hearts and minds would be open, and that this weekend would be a meaningful time of connection—with one another and with Jesus.

It’s a great day to be a Bronco!
