May 31 Head of School Weekly Update

by Les Rainey on May 31, 2024

Dear BACS Family,

I hope this email finds you enjoying your first week of the summer break.  This will be the final scheduled Head of School Update until the beginning of August.   There will be important emails from divisional and department offices throughout the summer that you will want to be aware of.  Also, be on the lookout for our Back to School newsletter in July.  Please remember that our summer office hours are from 8am-1pm, Monday through Thursday.  School offices will be closed for the weeks of June 3rd and June 24th as we will be hosting VBS and Pine Cove in the City.  However, we will still have office staff and admin checking and corresponding via email during those weeks.  If you have any office needs, please contact us at

I cannot say enough about the great things that are taking place on campus.  While the students are away, we will be busy painting, preparing, and praying for the next school year.  Summer camp for our ELA and summer workouts for our athletic teams are already underway.  Lunch Bunch for our elementary students, along with other sports camps and Camp Bronco are scheduled all throughout the summer.

Enrollment continues to strengthen as we enter the summer months.  Our ELA enrollment is at 140 students and our K-12 enrollment is currently at 817 students.  Administratively, we are working diligently in multiple areas.   We have made some tremendous hires for the 24-25 school year, which will be highlighted in the Back-to-School Newsletter.

Earlier this week our administrative staff participated in collaborative sessions to assess the current year, continued planning for next year, and thoroughly reviewed the  helpful surveys that were conducted earlier this month. These exercises of planning and reflection help keep us focused on the mission and vision of our school.  I’m so grateful to serve alongside such a wonderful and talented group of leaders who love our students, but most importantly are passionate about seeing our students come to know Christ and strengthen their walk with Him.

Thank you for your support and prayers this school year.  I pray you all have a safe summer.  Enjoy your time with family, and we look forward to seeing you back on campus soon.

It’s a great day to be a Bronco!
