October 2 Head of School Weekly Update

by Les Rainey on October 02, 2025

Dear BACS Family,

“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Cor. 10:31). When I was a boy, my bike was covered in reflectors so that car headlights would make me visible at night. The reflectors were not a light themselves, but they reflected another light. In the same way, God calls us to reflect Jesus in our words, choices, and actions.  These are all opportunities to reflect God’s glory.

To glorify God does not mean adding anything to his perfection, because he is already perfect, but it does mean magnifying him so others see him more clearly. Paul reminds in Colossians 3:17 that even in the ordinary routines of life, we can point people to Christ. There is no divide between sacred and secular for the believer. Everything we do is sacred, and everything we do should reflect his character. The question for all of us is simple: How clearly am I reflecting God’s glory?

As shared in a recent Weekly Update, BACS plans to accept ESAs beginning with the 2026–27 school year. We have created a FAQ page on our website to provide details. While not all answers are available yet since the state is still working through regulations, we will keep you updated as more information becomes clear.

This month is full of activities, so please continue to check school communications regularly. Next week is quarter exam week, which means there will be no chapel on Wednesday and no school for students on Friday. Offices will close at noon that Friday.

If you are looking for a church home, we invite you to join us on Sundays at 8:30, 10:00, or 11:30 as we continue our series in the Book of Acts.

Finally, mark your calendars for Homecoming Week starting October 20. This is always one of the most exciting weeks on campus as we celebrate the proud 53 year heritage of our school.

It is a great day to be a Bronco!
