October 29 Head of School Weekly Update

by Les Rainey on October 29, 2026

Dear BACS Family,

Providing a quality Kingdom education for your child is an investment, and one that we believe offers lifelong benefits. From biblical worldview development to strengthening critical thinking skills and challenging students academically, our desire is to prepare students for a life of purpose and influence.

We also recognize that this investment comes with financial sacrifice for many families. That's why we work diligently to keep tuition as accessible as possible without compromising the quality of education we provide. This includes investing in our faculty and staff, maintaining excellent facilities and resources, and continually looking for ways to strengthen the BACS experience.

This school year alone, BACS families have received more than $1.8 million in financial assistance and tuition discounts! These funds have come through BACS tuition assistance, the Texas Education Freedom Accounts (TEFA), sibling discounts, and other forms of assistance.

Today, we're excited to share another opportunity that could provide additional financial assistance to our families: the Federal Tax Credit Scholarship Program, also referred to as the Education Freedom Tax Credit.

This new program is scheduled to launch on January 1, 2027, and has the potential to be a tremendous blessing to Christian education. While some guidelines and details are still being finalized, we want to begin sharing what we know and how this opportunity could benefit our school community.

You can learn more by watching this video and reviewing the Q&A handout.

Whenever federal programs are mentioned, it's natural to wonder what requirements or restrictions might come with them. That's an important consideration for us as well. One encouraging aspect of this program is that scholarships will be administered through independent Scholarship Granting Organizations (SGOs), rather than through direct federal funding to schools. This structure is designed to help preserve the autonomy of private schools, allowing us to remain faithful to our mission, values, and commitment to Kingdom education. BACS has chosen to partner with a faith-based SGO that shares these commitments. As the final guidelines become available, we will continue evaluating the program to ensure our participation aligns with our mission.

As additional details become available in the coming months, we will continue communicating with you about the program and how families can participate.

I believe there has never been a more important time for young people to be educated and influenced by godly men and women who are committed to teaching truth and developing the next generation of Christian leaders.

Thank you for being part of the BACS family. We are excited to see how God continues to bless our school community and open doors for more families to experience Kingdom education.

It's a great day to be a Bronco!
