September 24 Head of School Weekly Update

by Les Rainey on September 24, 2026

Dear BACS Family,

Next week is HOCO Week! I want to make sure you’re all invited to our annual Homecoming Parade and Pep Rally next Thursday at 6:30 pm. This is one of the best weeks of the year as we celebrate the rich heritage of BACS and express our gratitude for the alumni, former faculty and staff, and administrators who have helped shape our school. Above all, Homecoming allows us to celebrate and remember God’s goodness and provision throughout 54 years of Bay Area Christian School.

Also, next week, we will conduct a routine lockdown drill. You will receive notification before the drill through our FACTS alert system. These drills are not intended to cause alarm; rather, they help us maintain awareness, practice our procedures, and ensure that our students, faculty, and staff are all on the same page regarding our standard response protocols. This drill was originally scheduled for a few weeks ago but had to be rescheduled due to HVAC issues that disrupted normal school operations.

Finally, with the first quarter coming to a close in just two weeks, I want to encourage you to stay up to date on your student’s progress through FACTS. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s teachers or respective division office. We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with you in your child’s education and development.

We hope to see everyone on campus next week as we celebrate Homecoming together!

It’s a great day to be a Bronco!

Bay Area Christian School exists to provide quality, Kingdom education to the next generation, empowering them to make disciples of Jesus at home, in society, and through the church. For over 50 years our school has served as a ministry of Bay Area Church. On these 48 acres, we serve over 900 students from Pre-K through twelfth grade. We strive to do everything from a Christ-centered approach and place an emphasis on educating the next generation from a Biblical worldview. It is our desire to see students grow academically, however most importantly, spiritually.
