September 4 Head of School Weekly Update

Dear Bronco Family,
This week’s edition of the Weekly Update is full of important information, so please take a few minutes to read through the details below.
It’s hard to believe, but we are already planning for the 26-27 school year. Please click here to watch a short video explaining our new enrollment and re-enrollment timeline, which will go into effect on January 1st, 2026.
Next week, we will be conducting a campus-wide lockdown drill procedure at school. This drill is conducted to secure student safety and heighten student and teacher preparedness in the event of a real lockdown. The drill will prepare our teachers and students to react appropriately, much like they would in a real lockdown situation. Our goal, while practicing important safety procedures, is to be sure all children feel safe and are not scared by the mock emergency, but develop a sincere respect for an event of this nature. Procedures like this are part of our annual school safety plan and are best practices for similar organizations.
Tomorrow night marks our first home varsity football game of the season! We invite you to come cheer on our coaches, players, cheerleaders, trainers, band, and color guard who make Friday Night Lights so special. Looking ahead, next Friday night (9/12) will be our annual K–2nd Grade Night. With fall sports in full swing, don’t forget to download the BACS Athletics app to stay up to date on when and where our Broncos are competing.
Finally, we are proud of our high school students and teachers for their continued excellence both in and out of the classroom. Recently, we received our AP exam results: out of 115 exams taken, 83% of students scored a 3 or higher, well above state and national averages. Even more impressively, 27% of our senior class earned a perfect score of 5 on one or more of their AP exams last year. In addition, our BETA Club was recognized as a National BETA School of Distinction for outstanding achievement in academics, character, leadership, and service. These accomplishments reflect a true team effort and are further proof that we are blessed with excellent teachers and talented, hardworking students on our campus.
It’s a great day to be a Bronco!
